Thomas Jefferson Britton, born March 4,1837, Butts County, Georgia; died January 2, 1916, Tallapoosa County, Alabama. Married Rachel Mathis, May 30, 1864, Book 6, page 36, Tallapoosa County, Alabama. She was born ca. 1845 in Georgia, and died ca. 1880-1894.
