James David Hopper

I have a very yellowed copy of this picture. It is supposed to be of my
husband's Great Grandfather, James David Hopper. I just wondered if it was
taken in Troy, AL and if there was a Baldwin photographer, or Baldwin
studio or if that meant Baldwin county. What ever it meant, it would
help me figure out if J. D. Hopper was in Pike county, AL at some time
prior to his going to buy land in Pickens county, AL in 1858. I am trying
to figure out when for sure he was born (between 1820 and 1825) and who his
parents might be. Any help would be appreciated.....Dorothy Hopper
